We accept returns on all ready-to-ship items (the ones marked “in stock”) within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and returned at the buyer’s expense.

Because our made-to-order and personalized items are created just for you, they cannot be returned, exchanged, or altered after purchase.

If there’s an issue with your order (wrong item, defect, or anything less than perfect), please contact us within 7 days so we can make it right.

Each product listing is marked with a dot to show if it’s ready to ship or made to order:

• Ready to ship: Leaves our studio the next business day.
  
• Made to order: Check the “Shipping & Turnaround” tab on the product page for specific production times.
  

Shipping details:

• Your order may ship via UPS Ground, FedEx, DHL, or USPS Priority. No signature required unless requested.
  
• Packages typically arrive within 7 business days (U.S.) or 3 weeks (international).
  
• Tracking info will be emailed to you when your order ships so you can be on the lookout.
  
• Orders may arrive in several packages. If you’d like everything shipped in one package, just let us know in advance.
  

Please note:

• Modified Tot is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. Shipping insurance is available upon request.
  
• Shipping carriers occasionally experience delays. If tracking shows “Arriving Late,” you’ll need to reach out directly to the carrier for updates.
  
• Delivery timelines are estimates only and may vary.

Every item is crafted in the fabric best suited for its purpose—soft where baby needs comfort, durable where it counts. Since babies are messy, most items are machine-washable, and each product listing includes detailed care instructions.

• All fabrics are printed with water-based, non-toxic pigment inks.
  
• Our wallpapers use Greenguard Gold Certified inks for peace of mind.

Our bedding is made to fit standard U.S. cribs, with mini crib sizes available (just check the box at checkout).

• Rail covers: May not fit extra-thick rails—reach out for a complimentary custom size.
  
• All measurements are noted on each listing.
  
• International buyers: Please double-check sizing and contact us for custom adjustments if needed.

We get started right away—literally. For that reason, we can only accept order changes within 24 hours of purchase:

• Ready-to-ship items: Changes cannot be made after 24 hours, since they head out quickly.
  
• Made-to-order items: After 24 hours, they’re already in production, so no changes can be made.

• Gift items follow the same return policy as above. However, if purchased through a registry, we extend the return window to 14 days after the event date.
  
• Gift returns are issued as store credit on eligible items.

We’re proud to craft most of our pieces right here in the U.S. with our talented local sewing team. Our zero-waste printing process means fabric is printed in the exact shape needed—no scraps, no excess, no landfill guilt.

(Note: Our diaper bags are not U.S.-made, but they meet our same high standards for design and quality.)
